Generally, a shrooms trip can last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, with the peak effects occurring around 2 to 3 hours after ingestion. Consuming shrooms at a party is not recommended due to the potential for unpredictable and intense effects. Psilocybin mushrooms can cause hallucinations, altered perception of time and space, and changes in mood and emotions. These effects may not be conducive to a social setting like a party, where it can be difficult to manage and control the experience. Additionally, mixing shrooms with alcohol or other substances commonly found at parties can increase the risk of negative outcomes.
